Only a few types of Locusts specialize in breaking barricades, so one person in the party should be the designated person to destroy them. To get more time, you need to destroy barricades and defeat humans. This means time extensions and time management are your best friends. No matter how skilled you are or how many friends you have in your party, there is no way you will be able to defeat all of the humans within such a short time limit. Once that time runs out, regardless of what’s going on or how many humans remain, the game ends and you lose. Time ManagementĪt the start of the mode, you get 60 seconds to find and defeat all of the human enemies on the map. Spawning as a creature costs a varying amount of money, while the experience is used to unlock stronger Locust, such as the Boomers or the Savage Corpsers. By defeating humans or destroying their barricades, you earn money and experience. At the start, your party – the more people, the better – must pick one of five starting creatures: Tickers, Wild Tickers, Wretches, Butchers or Savage Drone Locusts. The first step to succeeding in this mode is to know the basics of it.
For the first time in the series, Gears of War 3 features Beast Mode, allowing up to four players to take on the role of the Locust in an effort to defeat the humans, in an unusual reverse of fortunes.
